Chinese New Year Feast

Diners in our Bistro enjoyed a delicious menu of oriental food to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The mouth-watering selection included favourites such as prawn and sesame toast, salt ribs, sweetcorn soup, salt and pepper chicken, chow mein, with apple, banana and pineapple fritters to follow.

Whilst Chinese New Year in the UK was celebrated on 22 January, in China and East Asia, it will last up to 16 days, though not all of these are considered as public holidays.

This being the Year of the Rabbit, this Chinese zodiac sign symbolises longevity, peace and prosperity. “Rabbits” (those born in Rabbit years) are said to be vigilant, witty, quick-minded and ingenious.
