Firework Displays

Our inner child rarely disappears, so many of us will be looking forward to Guy Fawkes’ Night and a dazzling display of fireworks. Equally, we may have young family members who are just as excited about what this annual event holds in store.

These days, a growing number of people choose an organised fireworks display and there are several within reasonable travelling distance of The Vale.

Battersea Park Fireworks is South London’s biggest display and always popular – so much so that tickets for Saturday, 5th November are already sold out. There are places however, on Sunday, 6thNovember, which is classed as Family Night. Gates open at 5.00 pm and close at 7.00 pm ahead of the display.Tickets are £11.50 per person plus booking fee. Children under 10 go free but still require a ticket. These are available online at: https://www.batterseaparkfireworks.com

Wimbledon Park offers two displays on Friday, 4th November. There is a food village and a funfair on site. A more family-oriented show takes place at 5.15 pm (gates open, fireworks at 6.45 pm) with a pop music/feel good theme, or there is a later show at 8.30 pm with a King and Queen [regal?] theme. Tickets are £10.70 per adult, £8.02 for children and under 4s go free. Details and booking on: https://www.seetickets.com/event/musical-fireworks-displays/wimbledon-park

Morden Park has two displays and is also run by Merton Council (see Wimbledon). These take place at 5.15 pm and 8.30 pm on Saturday, 5th November and replicate the entertainment at Wimbledon Park. Prices and booking are the same.
