The latest in our series of quizzes attracted a record 28 representatives from The Vale and Streatham Seniors. All were eager to pit their wits against each other.
Each of the 16 questions had an autumnal theme with the winning team scoring an admirable 14 correct answers.
The question that had everyone stumped, though, related to a seasonal vegetable: ‘Autumn King, Figaro and St Valery are all types of what?’ See below for the answer.
There were chocolate truffles for the winners followed by a delicious lunch, prepared by The Vale’s in-house chef. Plenty of discussion took place during the meal as contestants mulled over the questions and answers.
What better way to spend a couple of hours? Good company, good food and a chance to test the little grey cells.
