Our Covid-safe measures

Your safety is our number one priority

As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves and changes, the safety of our residents, staff team and all visitors remain paramount to us at The Vale. We continuously review our procedures in line with government guidelines to protect our community and remain COVID free.

From 10 December it will be mandatory to wear face coverings throughout the communal spaces. These can be removed when people are sitting in the bar & bistro area. We will be requesting negative Lateral Flow Test results (taken within the last 48hrs) to be evidenced for any people attending our large events taking place and by all contractors working in the building.

Precautionary measures for appointments and visits

All members of our staff team have been trained in the latest precautionary guidelines for COVID-19 to ensure our procedures and safety measures continue to minimise the risk of COVID-19 infection.

In addition to registering with the NHS App we have our own track and trace system in place.

Upon arrival all visitors are required to have their temperatures checked and to provide their details within our track and trace process. If any symptoms are experienced, or if the temperature reading is above average, they will not be permitted to enter the building. Should symptoms develop within 14 days of visiting, you will be asked to contact us immediately. This is to ensure that the relevant safety measures can be implemented to ensure the health of everyone living and working at The Vale.

All visitors to The Vale will be provided with a face mask, access to hand washing facilities and hand sanitiser along with a briefing to explain our COVID-19 safe procedures.

We are continuing to offer visits and tours of The Vale including our show apartment. Appointments must be made in advance and allow for sufficient disinfection and cleaning of all areas in between appointments in order to minimise any potential transmissions.

We also understand that many of our prospective residents may be reluctant to come and see us face to face in the current circumstances. For this, we are able to accommodate virtual tours through Zoom/Facetime and WhatsApp to ensure that you still receive a bespoke personal tour. A member of our staff team will be more than happy to assist, either by phone or by video calling.

Throughout the day, all high touch areas, for example door handles, light switches, banisters, etc. are cleaned and disinfected. Our staff are trained in good practice infection prevention and control procedures to make sure the show suites and communal areas are regularly cleaned and disinfected.

Assistance with Moving

Moving home can be a stressful and worrying task with so many treasured possessions that need to be packed and moved, not t mention potential new furniture orders and move day organisation.

Our friendly team will be able to support and assist you throughout your journey, helping you along though all the various processes. Moving to a new home is permitted under Government guidelines and all of our staff and partners are classified as key workers, adhering to all government guidelines.

Moving in

To ensure the safety of all existing Residents we require everyone to carry out a COVID-19 test at least two days prior to moving into The Vale. We can assist you in accessing and processing that test at no additional cost.

Upon receiving a negative test result, we can assist you with your move and the start of your new chapter.  If your test result is positive, then you will not be able to move in until you receive a negative test result.

After your move in, our friendly team will be on hand to help you settle into your apartment and to ensure that you feel at home.
