The Vale Listed For Prestigious Design Award

We are delighted to report that The Vale has been shortlisted for the “Best Independent Living Scheme” in the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards 2022. Launched in 1991, the awards promote and recognise the very best developments in all types of care-related property. They have helped to shape the huge improvement across the UK in care facilities and independent living.

Creating a development like The Vale takes a large team involving, architects, contractors and specialist designers working alongside the in-house design team to create and make the best use of the existing building. The interior space is enhanced with innovative interior design which is both attractive and luxurious while utilising the latest technology to support people to live independently and maximises the exterior space to create a tranquil garden with open outside living and dining space. The judges will be looking at how all these different aspects have come together to decide the eventual award winners.

Dr Nick Dhandsa, Chairman of Capital Care Villages, the freeholder and developer of The Vale said: “Everyone involved with creating The Vale is excited to see it shortlisted for this well-regarded industry award. We are proud of what we have achieved here and it is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our team – TDC Architects, Andrew Farr Interiors, Sarah Beazley Designs and Cuffe Plc who have created such a thoughtfully designed place to live.”

All of The Vale’s contemporary apartments were built to a high specification with luxury bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens, offering convenient open plan single level living. There is an attractive communal garden and a number of apartments also have Juliette balconies or roof terraces.

Ample interior communal space includes a library and lounge, bar and bistro with an outside terraced area, coffee bar, beauty and hair salon and a hobbies room.

The winners of the 22nd Pinders Healthcare Design Awards will be announced at a lunch which is being held on 16th March at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.
