What they say

Our residents and their friends and family are at the centre of our community. Hear what they have to say about life at The Vale.

My mum is 84 years old and had lived in her house for almost 40 years. The house had just become too big as well as mum’s mobility and keeping safe there had declined. We were looking for ‘the next step’, somewhere that mum would be safe and that little bit of extra care. I came across The Vale, which I can honestly say has been a complete new lease of life for my mum! I have seen such a difference, from her social interactions with other residents, being so well looked after by the very caring team of staff, the improvement in her mental health as well from not being so isolated. Mum still has her own independence at The Vale but also has the opportunity to join the residents coffee mornings, social events and even outings to the cinema. It was a massive transition for us all as a family with mum moving but I can honestly say, with all the help from the manager, Sarah, and all the team, they made it a very happy, easy and stress free experience which resulted in mum settling in so much better then I can ever of imagined and wished for. I’m hoping mum has many more happy years ahead at The Vale!
